Thank you, Jill! I really like your Web site so far.
I have had a slight change of heart regarding the elective surgery when I realized that I was making uneducated decisions about something I had no experience with or knowledge of. There are so many women out there that I could tap for advice and encouragement, and I was being silly to think I could go through all of this alone. And as the months pass, I do realize that there is no rush on making this decision. It’s just that I have been going through a lot of headaches and muscular trouble since my mastectomy. I’ve missed a lot of work and am getting very weary. But there is no quick fix for something like this.
Are you on tamoxifen, if you don’t mind my asking? I’m scared of it.
Also, no apologies for rambling. I’m the queen of rambling lately! :o)

I am so glad you found this group. It is so helpful in so many ways. The one thing that I have learned from cancer is the feeling that “this too shall pass”. Each day there is something new to think about, worry about, stress about. Sometime I just hang on and know in a couple days, couple months it will pass and there will be something else to hopefully, on the brighter side, be excited about. ;-)
I am not on Tamoxifen. The drug does not effect my type of cancer, which is too bad. But sometime I am just fine with that. One less thing to have to think about and figure out whether to take it or not. I think it works or they wouldn’t be giving it to us. But I have heard a lot of people have a hard time on it.
You should be able to go to the search page and search for “tamoxifen” and find others that are on that drug and post a comment on their blog. I am hoping in the future to make it easier for people to find others.
Nice meeting you!
